Milan Skriniar does not see a transfer-free move to Barcelona, reports Gazzetta dello Sport. The defender has an expiring contract with Internazionale and is currently leaning towards a longer stay in Milan. A departure to the already interested Paris Saint-Germain is still a possibility.
Barcelona also want to strengthen the selection again next summer with some transfer-free acquisitions. The Catalans were passed on earlier this week Mundo Deportivo associated with Skriniar, but according to Gazzetta dello Sport the Slovakian international sees nothing in a transfer to the Spotify Camp Nou. Internazionale are reportedly on the cusp of offering Skriniar a contract extension in a bid to secure the centre-back’s services for longer.
Skriniar can also still count on interest from PSG, which also wanted to recruit the 27-year-old mandekker last summer. There was no transfer at the time. However, the French would like to make another attempt for him in January. If a transfer does not take place again, PSG hopes to welcome Skriniar next summer, transfer-free.
Skriniar currently enjoys the full confidence of trainer Simone Inzaghi at Inter. Last Saturday’s Serie A game with Sassuolo (1-2 win) was the only game this season in which he did not start in the starting line-up. The defender was arrested last month Mundo Deportivo has also been linked to a transfer-free move to Real Madrid in 2023.
