AZ has secured the services of Mayckel Lahdo, so aftonbladet out on Friday. The nineteen-year-old winger was also on the list of Feyenoord, FC Groningen and SC Heerenveen, but he therefore opts for a transfer to Alkmaar. The talent comes transfer-free from Hammarby IF, where he was also able to sign a new contract.

With the arrival of Lahdo, the Alkmaarders are preparing for the possible departure of his compatriot Jesper Karlsson, who has already been mentioned at Napoli. The winger was the tastemaker of AZ last season and also acknowledged that he would like to take a nice step higher this summer. The Swedish winger played 50 games for AZ last season, scoring 21 times and scoring 15 assists.

AZ is working on a replacement for Jesper Karlsson, who seems to be leaving Alkmaar this summer.

According to aftonbladet the last folds around the transfer are being smoothed out at this time. Lahdo played most of his youth academy for Hammarby. Last season he came in ten games and managed to find the net once. Hammarby finished third in the Swedish Allsvenskan last season. In 2019 it was announced that Zlatan Ibrahimovic became co-owner of the club. With the Swedish superstar in the stands, Hammarby won the cup in Sweden in 2021. The last time they took an award was the year Ibrahimovic left Hammarby for Ajax, 2001.
