AZ is about to take over Kristijan Belic from Partizan Belgrade. Fabrizio Romano reported this on Saturday afternoon on X. If everything goes according to plan, the 22-year-old Serbian midfielder's medical examination will take place sometime at the beginning of next week, according to the transfer market expert.

“AZ is about to take over Kristijan Belic from Partizan,” Romano said on X. “It is a permanent transfer. The parties are in the final phase of negotiations.”

“The transfer fee is under four million euros,” the Italian continues. “The medical examination will take place early next week, if everything goes according to plan.”

Belic was born in 2001 in Sint-Truiden, Belgium, because his father Dusan Belic was a manager for the local football club at the time. From 2016 to 2019, Kristijan Belic was active in the youth of West Ham United.

He then switched to the Greek Olympiacos, only to exchange it for FK Cukaricki in 2021. A year later he moved to Partizan, eight-time national champions of Serbia.

He has played 55 official matches for that club so far, in which he scored three goals and seven assists. Of the 23 games Partizan played this season, Belic started 22 times. He was almost always positioned as a defensive midfielder.

AZ coach Pascal Jansen currently has Jordy Clasie and Tiago Dantas at his disposal in the position of defensive midfielder. It is not yet known how the upcoming arrival of Belic, who played two international matches for Serbia Under 21, will affect their role.
