Club Brugge has its eye on Anass Salah-Eddine, reports The newspapaer† The twenty-year-old left back, who mainly finishes his matches for Young Ajax, certainly does not seem to have to count on much playing time with the Amsterdam team due to the arrival of Owen Wijndal next season. In addition, Salah-Eddine still has a one-year contract; unless this is extended, Ajax can only earn some money from him now.

In addition to Salah-Eddine, with the imminent arrival of Wijndal, there are three ‘pure’ left backs under contract in Amsterdam: Daley Blind and Nicolás Tagliafico complete the trio. In addition, Lisandro Martínez can also handle that position. Despite the fact that Tagliafico is eager for a departure and Martínez is mainly seen as a center defender, Salah-Eddine does not seem to have to count on too much playing time. Club Brugge can therefore offer a solution.

The Belgian national champion, who with Bjorn Meijer already picked up a left back for the coming years from FC Groningen, seems to want to strengthen himself in width. In addition to Meijer, new trainer Carl Hoefkens already has Federico Ricca and Eduard Sobol in the left back position. The front seems to be moving the most. Bas Dost and José Izquierdo left the club on a free transfer, while Ferran Jutglà was taken over from Barcelona for three million euros. Charles De Ketelaere and Noa Lang are in the explicit interest of AC Milan; the latter has even already been promised a departure.

Salah-Eddine has been playing at De Toekomst since the summer of 2018. Before that he played for AFC and AZ. In the 2019/20 season, the back made his debut for Jong Ajax; last season he made 21 appearances for the team of John Heitinga. On the final day of the competition, Salah-Eddine was also allowed to make his debut for Ajax 1 against Vitesse (2-2).
