Feyenoord’s line-up for the decisive meeting with Lazio in the Europa League is known. Surprisingly, trainer Arne Slot opts for a base place for Igor Paixão. It is the first time that the Brazilian is in the first eleven players on the match sheet. The game in De Kuip starts at 6.45 pm.

In the back, Feyenoord plays with the same defense as during the disappointing defeat at Sturm Graz (1-0) last week. Justin Bijlow is on duty as usual on target. The 24-year-old keeper hopes to go to the World Cup in Qatar with the the Dutch in three weeks. Lutsharel Geertruida plays as right back, while Gernot Trauner and Dávid Hancko form the central duo. Peruvian Marcos López has to defend the left flank.

During the press conference on Wednesday, Slot already revealed that he would go for a surprise in his starting eleven. He was referring to Paixão, who is making his basic debut for Feyenoord. The Brazilian is left winger, while Danilo and Javairô Dilrosun complete the vanguard. Slot has made room in midfield for captain Orkun Kökçü, Quinten Timber and Sebastian Szymanski.

The Rotterdam club will advance to the knockout phase of the Europa League with a win of two goals or more. A win with one goal difference can also be enough, but then Feyenoord depends on the result at FC Midtjylland against Sturm Graz.

Line-up Feyenoord: Bijlow; Geertruida, Trauner, Hancko, Lopez; Timber, Kokcu, Szymanski; Dilrosun, Danilo, Paixao.
