Paul Pogba is not part of Juventus’ match selection for the Europa League match with SC Freiburg, report Fabrizio Romano and La Gazzetta dello Sport. The Frenchman is not injured. According to the transfer market expert, this is a disciplinary suspension. Pogba reported late for a meeting on Wednesday evening and is therefore not part of the group. Juventus and Freiburg will compete against each other on Thursday from 9 p.m.

Pogba only played for Juventus for the first time this season due to a lingering injury last week. The midfielder played for half an hour against Torino and got fifteen minutes of playing time against AS Roma. This time it would not be a new injury. The Frenchman would start from the bench against Freiburg, but now takes a seat in the stands. He reported too late for an appointment on Wednesday and is suspended for disciplinary reasons.

La Gazzetta know that it is a decision of coach Massimiliano Allegri in consultation with the club management. Arek Milik and Mattia De Sciglio also take a seat in the stands. They are not yet fit enough to compete against the German opponent. Juventus reached the eighth finals of the Europa League by settling FC Nantes (4-1) in the intermediate round over two games. Ángel Di María seized the leading role with a hat-trick during the game in France. The first hit in particular – a shot in the far intersection – was of great beauty.

Allegri has Alex Sandro at his disposal again against Freiburg. The wing defender had to stop the fight halfway against Roma. On Thursday he will start again at the kick-off and form a three-man defense with Danilo and Gleison Bremer. In midfield, Allegri will probably opt for Fabio Miretti alongside Adrien Rabiot and Manuel Locatelli. Di María plays as the deepest midfielder in the back of Dusan Vlahovic. The flanks are covered by Filip Kostic and Juan Cuadrado.

Probable line-up Juventus: Szczesny; Danilo, Bremer, Alex Sandro; Miretti, Rabiot, Locatelli, Di Maria; Kostic, Vlahovic, Cuadrado.
