Ajax has made a new offer to Sontje Hansen, transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano reports on Twitter. The twenty-year-old attacker has an expiring contract in the Johan Cruijff ArenA, but the team from Amsterdam does not want to get rid of him. Ajax hopes to get Hansen to sign a new contract that will keep him connected to the club until mid-2026. However, according to Romano, there are several hijackers on the coast.

Ajax is currently doing everything it can to bind Hansen and Amourrichio van Axel Dongen longer. The club absolutely does not want the two wingers to leave on a free transfer next summer. Where Romano reported last week that Manchester United is interested in Van Axel Dongen, Hansen would be on the radar of the German Augsburg, among others. The right winger is expected to make a decision about his future soon.

Hansen has been stagnant in its development in Amsterdam for years. The arrow-fast right leg was known as a great talent in Ajax’s youth academy and made his debut in December 2019 in the main force under Erik ten Hag, during the 3-4 away match at Telstar for the TOTO KNVB Cup. The counter currently only stands at two official duels in Ajax 1. The last one dates back to December 22, 2019, when Ajax won 6-1 at home against ADO Den Haag.

Nevertheless, Ajax does not want to give up with Hansen yet, as the new offer shows. According to Transfer market is the Hoornaar worth a million euros. The team from Amsterdam may want to extend the contract, in order to have a transfer fee left over from his departure. Ajax removed Hansen’s name from the training camp selection in November, because the negotiations did not lead to an agreement. The situation still seems to be complex at the moment. Hansen only makes his minutes this season at Jong Ajax. The winger is never on the bench in the main squad.
