Ajax supporters showed their worst side on Saturday. The fans sang very unsavory songs about Feyenoord and Rotterdam at the last training for the Classic. The ‘bombs on Rotterdam’ could be heard several times at De Toekomst sports park, with which the Ajax players refer to the large-scale bombing of the port city in World War II.

The same text could also be heard during the away match at sc Heerenveen (2-4). The victory was then overshadowed by chants from the branch. At the press conference, Heitinga was told by Mike Verweij van The Telegraph asked about those songs. “I missed it, but it is of course not good if that is the case. If you say it happened, then I believe you. We are happy with the victory, but of course you would rather not hear these kinds of chants.”

Hundreds of Ajax fans visited the last training session for Sunday’s squatter against Feyenoord on Saturday. With singing and fireworks they encouraged the team of trainer John Heitinga. The same happened at Varkenoord, where Feyenoord supporters encouraged the selection of Arne Slot. Lutsharel Geertruida brought joy to the training complex. The defender entered the field with a shirt during the final training prior to the Classic to announce that he has extended his contract until mid-2025.
