Ajax will discuss a customized process with Mohammed Ihattaren next week, you know The Telegraph. After his temporary absence due to (presumed) threats in the private sphere, the midfielder is struggling with a slight physical disadvantage, which must be eliminated in order to be able to join the A-selection. Ajax also wants to offer Ihattaren the possibility of mental guidance.
The attacking midfielder and right winger started out promising in this preparation. In the first exhibition game with SV Meppen (3-0 win), Ihattaren already showed his class several times, while he scored both goals against SC Paderborn (2-5 loss), including a wonderful free kick. Then the technician suddenly disappeared from the selection. When Ihattaren also did not go to Austria for a training camp, Ajax explained that he was ‘not fit’.
The Telegraph within moments, however, came with the news that there was a criminal threat surrounding Ihattaren. Crime reporter John van den Heuvel told the newspaper that this was because of a relationship that the young man would have with a girl, ‘which was not thanked for him’. However, Ihattaren dismissed the reporting on his sister’s Instagram channel on Monday as nonsense. “I can sometimes laugh at the media,” was his response.
On Tuesday he followed with a post on his own account in which the girl in question (presumably) could be seen.
For the time being, Ihattaren played his first and only official duel in Ajax 1 during last season’s cup final. In the 2-1 lost game against his former club PSV, he was allowed to participate for four minutes. For Young Ajax, the Juventus mercenary came to a handful of duels in the same season, in which he scored four goals and two assists. Especially since Ihattaren looked visibly fitter this summer, a more emphatic role in Ajax 1 seemed in the offing for the coming year. It is currently known how much his physical (and/or mental) disadvantage is.
