The KNVB has moved the starting times of a total of six Eredivisie matches, it became clear on Friday. A duel is moved by one day, while the other five duels in round 4,5 and 7 are kicked off at a different time. The adjustments are the result of the agreements made by the clubs, the Eredivisie CV and the KNVB in the context of the change agenda.

“Dutch clubs that play in the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League have the option to submit a request to change the date and/or time of their Eredivisie matches if this allows them to better prepare for the European matches. The KNVB facilitates this agreement,” the football association said in a statement on its website on Friday. More information will be provided next week about the remaining changes in the Eredivisie until the winter break.

In round 4, Sparta Rotterdam-Fortuna Sittard will go from Saturday, September 11, 9 PM to Sunday, September 12, 2.30 PM. FC Groningen and sc Heerenveen will not play at 4.45 pm that same Sunday, but at 2.30 pm. At the meeting between RKC Waalwijk and Vitesse on September 12, it is exactly the other way around: the kick-off is not at 2.30 pm but at 4.45 pm.

In round 5, the only change is the starting time at Vitesse-FC Twente, with the kick-off in Arnhem not at 2.30 pm but at 4.45 pm. During round 7, PSV will play the away match against Willem II on Saturday 25 September. The ball rolls in Tilburg from 4.30 pm instead of 6.45 pm. Ajax was supposed to start against FC Groningen that day at 4.30 pm, but the Amsterdam club is swapping pennies with PSV. Kick-off is now at 6.45 pm in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. PSV will face Sturm Graz the following week on September 30, while Ajax will receive a visit from Besiktas in the Champions League on September 28.

The competition match between Feyenoord and Heracles Almelo on Sunday 12 September will be moved to Wednesday 1 December at the request of the Rotterdam club. The reasons are the bringing forward by UEFA of the Conference League match between Feyenoord and Maccabi Haifa to Tuesday, September 14 (4.30 pm), the international match period extended by FIFA prior to round four and the more difficult travel in and out of Israel due to the corona measures.
