ADO Den Haag may have an American owner. United Vansen (UVS), the current Chinese owner of the Eredivisionist, has reached an agreement with the American Otium Group / Neltex Sports on a takeover. Football International. If the transition continues, the Americans will pay 7 to 7.5 million euros for ADO Den Haag.

UVS has been looking for a new owner for ADO Den Haag for a long time. Otium Group, a real estate company from the United States, had previously independently negotiated the acquisition of the club, but then did not reach an agreement. Now that the company has also included Neltex Sports, a company that owns and operates professional baseball and soccer teams, in the acquisition, an agreement in principle has been reached. No signatures have yet been placed and the takeover is therefore not entirely final.

On Thursday follows the summary proceedings that ADO Den Haag has brought against its current owner. The club from the Hofstad believes it is still entitled to two million euros and hope to be able to get this through a lawsuit from the Chinese. Chris Woerts replies Veronica Inside that ADO Den Haag will definitely win the lawsuit against UVS, because the Chinese would have signed for the amount at the start of this season.

Woerts thinks the relief will be great if ADO does indeed fall into American hands. “They spoke to everyone who had even one euro in their pocket,” said the sports marketer. “They really had to get rid of it. If they were declared bankrupt, then you’re done and you get nothing.” According to Woerts, the professional license of ADO Den Haag would not disappear completely in the event of bankruptcy. “No, that license would then go back to the parent club, HFC. The trustee will then try to pay off the debts, after which ADO would have to start again in the Third Division.
