A pretty successful afternoon for the Dutch in the Bundesliga. Sheraldo Becker opened the score after the break for 1. FC Union Berlin, which eventually comfortably won 3-0 against VfB Stuttgart. Jeremie Frimpong also broke the spell. Partly thanks to the goal of the right half, who still wants to play for the the Dutch despite the fact that national coach Ronald Koeman does not think he is a good defender, relegation candidate Schalke 04 was defeated 0-3.

Schalke 04 – Bayer Leverkusen 0-3
Frimpong helped the sub-topper from Leverkusen on their way five minutes after the break. After good preparatory work by Moussa Diaby, the midfielder managed to hit the target from close range: 0-1. It was already his eighth goal of this Bundesliga season. Ten minutes later, the visitors took an advance on the victory in Gelsenkirchen. Florian Wirtz managed to find the net with a placed shot from inside the box. Schalke was unable to bring the tension back into the game afterwards and the afternoon became even more annoying when Sardar Azmoun’s header made it 0-3. Mitchel Bakker made his appearance at Leverkusen in the final phase, replacing the tired Frimpong.

1. FC Union Berlin – VfB Stuttgart 3-0
Hekkensluiter VfB Stuttgart seemed to take the lead after more than half an hour on a visit to number three 1. FC Union Berlin: Juan Perea scored, but after interference from the VAR, the goal was rejected due to hands. In the second half it was hit on the other side of the field, and Sheraldo Becker was the celebrated man. The attacker flew in a high cross from Jérôme Roussillon. Union had a taste for it and fifteen minutes later it was 2-0 via Kevin Behrens, who was able to shoot the ball in from close range. The 3-0 was an own goal by Genki Haraguchi; the Japanese slid a low cross from Behrens behind his own goalkeeper.
