Dirk Kuijt failed to leave the lower regions of the Kitchen Champion Division with ADO Den Haag on Friday evening. The residents of The Hague missed numerous opportunities during a visit to Telstar, but after a red card for Amir Absalem, they were unable to draw more than a 0-0 draw. Heracles Almelo held onto the lead with a resounding 5-1 victory against NAC Breda, which initially took the lead. Sávio seemed to shoot Jong PSV to victory on a visit to De Graafschap, but was able to take a shower immediately after taking off his shirt, because Adil Ramzi immediately replaced the flamboyant Brazilian. De Graafschap fought back from a 1-2 deficit and won 3-2 deep in injury time.

Telstar – ADO The Hague 0-0
Both teams had plenty of chances to take the lead in the first half. Amar Catic shot past, Hugo Wentges saved David Min’s shot, Jonathan Mulder and Xander Severina shot over and Finn van Breemen narrowly prevented Glynor Plet from scoring. There were also plenty of chances in the second half. For example, Plet went for Wentges in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper came out on top. More than ten minutes later, the breakthrough Yahya Boussakou seemed to be on his way to the 1-0. However, Amir Absalem knocked the substitute down, resulting in a red card. In the subsequent phase, Telstar was especially close to the opening goal a few times, but no goals were scored.

De Graafschap – Young PSV 3-2
In the 22nd minute, Jong PSV was helped in the saddle by a completely wrong pass from Jesse Schuurman, who had just come in, his first ball contact. Fodé Fofana got him in the feet and shot in with a blast: 0-1. De Graafschap straightened up and quickly returned to the game via Basar Önal. The left winger towered over the defense of Jong PSV to head in a cross from Schuurman: 1-1.

De Graafschap looked for the winner after the break, but got a goal twenty minutes before the end. Sávio escaped the attention of the defense and pushed the ball into the far corner from inside the penalty area: 1-2. The Brazilian took off his shirt and was immediately substituted. Young PSV was unable to hold onto the lead, as Önal escaped through the axis of the field ten minutes before the end and finished it off perfectly: 2-2. In the 97th minute, Anis Yadir gave the home team the victory. The substitute passed the far out goalkeeper Niek Schiks and shot in from a difficult angle: 3-2.

Heracles Almelo – NAC Breda 5-1
A lightning-fast counter led to NAC’s surprising opening goal in the ninth minute. Stef de Wijs was sent off in the depths, kept the overview and gave Odysseus Velanas a simple goal by sliding the ball wide. Heracles tied the score within six minutes. Thomas Bruns headed in a cross from Marco Rente nicely diagonally: 1-1. Heracles pushed through and took the lead after half an hour via Ruben Roosken. The left back shot the dropped ball from the second line of 25 meters in brilliantly diagonally: 2-1.

A few minutes before half-time, Roosken distinguished himself again, this time as the principal. The cross from the emerging left back was tapped in by Nikolai Laursen: 3-1. The latter again asserted himself in the 71st minute, this time with a much nicer goal. The right winger dribbled in and fired hard from a good distance: 4-1. Emil Hansson showed a few minutes later that he also mastered the trick. The left striker effortlessly dribbled past several opponents from his own flank and concluded with a shot into the far corner: 5-1.

TOP Oss – Young AZ 2-1
Young AZ will have wondered at halftime how it was possible that there was a 2-0 score on the scoreboard after 45 minutes. The Alkmaar promises created many opportunities, but it was TOP Oss that finished his few moments. Already in the second minute, Joep van der Sluijs shot in from a cross by Toshio Lake: 1-0. The second goal after 25 minutes came from an unparalleled counterattack. Lake prepared for Richonell Margaret, who instead of a shot opted for a pass to the far post, where Thomas Beekman was able to enter: 2-0.

Young AZ did not give up and came back to 2-1 after an hour. Soulyman Allouch provided that connection goal with a beautiful long shot. Barasi had an excellent chance to equalize just before the end, but headed over. Moments later, Allouch did tap in, but the flag went up for offside. The home team thus took the win with difficulty.

VVV Venlo – Willem II 0-0
The match in Limburg was certainly not overflowing with opportunities. Rick Ketting did have a shot in the house just after half an hour of play, which went high. On the side of the Tilburgers, Jizz Hornkamp was threatening with a header that went over. Just before half time, Tristan Dekker brought the ball to Kees de Boer, who had a roller in the house. WIllem II goalkeeper Kostas Lamprou was not confused. Fifteen minutes before the end, substitute Nick Venema had a shot in the house, after a falling corner hit his feet. His left-hand shot didn’t upset Lamprou, however. Venema was threatening again ten minutes before the end, thought he could put his foot against a great cross from Dekker, but saw that Lamprou was just a little faster at the ball.
