Olympique Lyon has won again after five consecutive draws in official matches. Peter Bosz’s team was 0-1 too strong for Troyes on Sunday and therefore takes tenth place in Ligue 1. The only goal of the game came from a questionable penalty kick. Troyes is in safe seventeenth place based on goal difference, but has as many points as number nineteen Girondins Bordeaux.

The penalty was awarded after half an hour of play. After an attack down the left flank, the ball bounced off the heel of Léo Dubois against the hand of Erik Palmer-Brown. The Troyes defender was right next to Dubois and could do little about it, but the arbitration led by Jérôme Brisard was unrelenting. Moussa Dembélé shot the penalty impeccably into the left corner. It was one of the few big chances in the first half, in which Lyon clearly had the upper hand.
