PSV seems to be facing a decisive transfer period. The people of Eindhoven, who on Monday came to a number of details with sc Heerenveen about the transfer of Joey Veerman, also keep a close eye on the actions of Riechedly Bazoer, it reports. Eindhovens Dagblad. The Vitesse center defender, who is reportedly open to a transfer to PSV, may have to make the transfer free of charge next summer.

A possible return of Bazoer to PSV is sensitive. The former youth player left for Ajax in 2012, against the wishes of then technical director Marcel Brands, where he experienced his breakthrough. He was part of the Eindhoven youth academy between 2006 and 2012, but never signed a professional contract there. Ajax then decided to bring him to Amsterdam, after which he returned to the Netherlands in 2019 in the shirt of Vitesse via VfL Wolfsburg and rental periods at FC Porto and FC Utrecht.

Bazoer seemed close to a transfer last summer, but then had to watch his employer put a stop to it. The defender annex midfielder had the opportunity to move to Olympique Marseille, but Vitesse wanted more than the four million offered. The French club later withdrew from the negotiations. Bazoer has often indicated that he would like to take a step. He would like to continue his career in Ligue 1, where his salary will be a lot higher than at Vitesse. Vitesse’s attitude was anything but appealing to Bazoer.

If Vitesse still wants to earn something from Bazoer, he should be sold this winter. He will run out of his contract in Arnhem next summer. The man who stood in the way of a transfer for Bazoer last summer, technical director Johannes Spors, has since left for Genoa. It Eindhovens Dagblad reports that PSV is interested and has also spoken with its management. However, it seems that the club will wait until next summer, as this winter the arrows will be aimed at Joey Veerman, who is close to finishing with the Eindhoven residents.
