FC Midtjylland wants to get Yorbe Vertessen at PSV, journalist Marco Timmer confirms Football International after previous reporting PSV Medium on Twitter. So far, the people of Eindhoven have not yet reached an agreement with the Danish club, so the 22-year-old attacker will simply fly to Glasgow on Monday for the duel with Rangers. Vertessen is still fixed at PSV until mid-2025 and is according to Transfer market worth about 3.8 million euros.

It remains to be seen whether Vertessen sees a transfer to the Superligaen. It seems that the Belgian feels good in Eindhoven, as he prefers to stay with PSV, according to Timmer. Vertessen has been playing for the Brabant club since 2017 and is currently on 77 matches in the main force. The right leg was good for 14 goals and 8 assists. Between January and June, Vertessen played on a rental basis for Union Sint-Gillis in his native country. With the Belgian stunt team, Vertessen scored 4 goals and 3 assists in 20 official matches.

Vertessen prefers to play striker himself, but in the Philips Stadium the Belgian has to tolerate both captain Luuk de Jong and million-dollar asset Ricardo Pepi in that position. On Saturday, the lightning-quick attacker did get the chance to replace Noa Lang as left winger during the game against Vitesse (1-3). Vertessen played a decisive role at PSV, which faced a 1-0 deficit at halftime after a weak first half. Vertessen made it 1-2 after a nice individual action with a hit shot in the short corner and decorated a penalty a short time later with a new gear. “He played his role very well,” he said ESPNanalyst Kees Luijckx afterwards.

Now Vertessen can therefore opt for an exodus from PSV, which also has a very talented striker in its ranks in Jason van Duiven. Last season, the Almelo player scored 15 goals and 3 assists in 34 league games on behalf of Young PSV. Van Duiven has also started productively this season. The eighteen-year-old attack leader was accurate in the first two rounds of the Kitchen Champion Division. It is currently unknown whether Peter Bosz and the PSV club management are willing to let Vertessen leave.
