Barcelona’s line-up for Tuesday night’s away game against Sevilla in La Liga has been announced. Trainer Xavi opts for one change compared to last Saturday’s 3-2 victory over Elche: Gerard Piqué returns to the rear after a suspension due to five yellow cards, at the expense of Clément Lenglet. There is again no starting place for Nico. Frenkie de Jong also starts at Barcelona, while Luuk de Jong starts again on the bench. The duel in Seville starts at 9.30 pm and is led by Carlos Del Cerro Grande.
Barcelona currently occupies eighth place in LaLiga, with 27 points from 17 league games. Sevilla are going through a very strong season and are in second place at the middle of the season, six points behind leaders Real Madrid. It is the last game of the year 2021 for both clubs. Barcelona will resume the competition on January 2 with an away game against Real Mallorca. Sevilla will visit Cádiz a day later.
