PSV is counting down to the 25th national title in club history and so we can already carefully focus on next season's selection. Club icons René and Willy van de Kerkhof advise technical director Earnest Stewart to absolutely keep two PSV players.

Due to the historic season that the Eindhoven team is experiencing, several key players are in good standing at various European (top) clubs. Stewart faces an eventful transfer summer. In the eyes of the Van de Kerkhof brothers, the technical director must do everything he can to permanently recruit Sergiño Dest.

The wing defender is making a big impression on loan this season in coach Peter Bosz's team. PSV has the option to permanently acquire Dest from FC Barcelona for ten million euros next summer, although it is not yet clear whether the American international would like a longer stay in Eindhoven itself.

“Dest has been the star for weeks,” says Willy in the Willy and René Podcast by Broadcasting Brabant. “PSV must do everything they can to keep him. And Tillman too.” This is different when it comes to Johan Bakayoko, although this is mainly due to the amounts mentioned for him.

“If he really raises sixty million, then a bow will be wrapped around it,” René says about Bakayoko. To which Willy adds: “In a box with foam rubber around it so that nothing happens to it. And then we will take him away ourselves.”

It is expected that PSV will also enter the transfer market after this season. For example, the people of Eindhoven were already seriously linked to FC Utrecht midfielder Ryan Flamingo.

René is asked in the podcast whether there are any Ajax players he would like to see at PSV. “Haha, next question. No, I wouldn't want one from Ajax.” Willy, however, has a different view: “I don't think Taylor is a bad guy. And maybe that Kaplan, but nothing more.”
