Neymar does not rule out the fact that the World Cup in Qatar is his last trick as an international of Brazil. The 29-year-old Paris Saint-Germain attacker said in a DAZN documentary that the pressures of football have taken its toll, both physically and mentally. According to former PSG midfielder Jérôme Rothen, Neymar’s statement means bad news for Parisians. The Frenchman believes the winger does not care about Paris Saint-Germain.

“Neymar is a fantastic player when he is in form. The only problem is that he is currently in a lesser phase,” Rothen said RMC Sports. “His statements are terrible for PSG. He lacks drive and enthusiasm. If you read between the lines, he doesn’t care about PSG. There is only the love he has for Brazil, with whom he wants to win the World Cup. His last chance is in Qatar in a year, but I want to remind him of his duties at the club.”

According to Rothen, Neymar’s statements are inappropriate. “If you’re a player of this category, if you’ve been the face of the club for more than four years, if you’ve extended your contract for another five years and you’ve decided to finish your career at PSG, you can do that. don’t say,” says the thirteen-time international of France. “Of course, every player’s private life can be complicated. When he talks like that, you get the impression that he’s a little depressed. But when you’re called Neymar, with the image he gives off, you can’t express yourself publicly like that.”

There is no doubt that the Brazilian is a great player, but the former professional footballer would like to see him show more love for the French superpower. “We all agree that Neymar is one of the greatest players in the world, which doesn’t mean he can’t have votes. But you have to hide them. When he speaks in the media, which is not often, it is almost always derogatory about PSG.” Neymar confessed in the documentary Neymar & The Line Of Kings by DAZN that the 2022 World Cup in Qatar could be his last. “I see it as my last because I don’t know if I have the strength of mind to deal with football,” said the attacker.
