PEC Zwolle has strengthened the selection with Luka Adzic. The 22-year-old attacker. who can handle both wings and the point of the attack, comes over from Anderlecht on a free transfer. The Dutchman is certainly not unfamiliar territory for Adzic: he was seen in the FC Emmen shirt for two periods.

Adzic has signed a one-year contract with an option for another year. His first period in the Netherlands was only very short, because corona threw a spanner in the works. Last season, the striker was brought back to Drenthe in the winter. In Emmen, Adzic eventually came to fourteen matches and four goals.

“I had good conversations with the trainer and technical manager, who only confirmed the image I already had of this club,” says Adzic through the official channels of the Zwolle residents. “PEC stands for well-maintained football and has a loyal fan base. In addition, I think it fits perfectly into the playing style and I will leave my mark on matches offensively. I’m fit, excited and hungry for goals.”

“As everyone knows, we have been looking for offensive reinforcements for quite some time. We were looking for an attacker who can play in multiple positions and who is also creative. We found it with Luka. When Luka comes to the ball, something always happens,” emphasizes technical manager Mike Willems. “He is fast, agile and can bring teammates into position out of nowhere, or create danger himself. Those offensive impulses are exactly what we need.”
