Andy Cole has yet to be impressed by Antony’s performance. The legend of Manchester United, part of the team that won the 1999 treble won, has expressed his preference for Alejandro Garnacho. As a striker for United, Cole scored 121 times in 275 official games and scored in his time the Mancunians likes to play together with a player of the caliber Garnacho. “I wish he could get more playing time.”

Garnacho is experiencing his breakthrough at United this season under Erik ten Hag and has already played six times in the Premier League, including two times as a basic player. He also received playing minutes in the EFL Cup, the FA Cup and the Europa League. However, the chances do not seem high that he will simply displace Antony from the base. The Brazilian wing attacker was taken over from Ajax for 95 million euros last summer and is in good shape at Ten Hag. Cole believes Garnacho has more potential.

“Garnacho fascinates me much more to be honest,” the former goalscorer adds Casinos En Ligne. “He is menacing and aggressive on the ball and always has the intention of passing his opponent. It doesn’t seem to affect him. He rushes past opponents with ease to cross or to finish himself. If you are a striker like me, “Have a winger who always gets the ball in front of the goal, you just have to focus on the goal. You know that ball is coming. I think he’s a very talented player and I wish he had more minutes.”

There is a good chance that Garnacho will play a lot this season, as United is still active in four competitions. On Tuesday, Ten Hag’s team qualified for the semi-finals of the EFL Cup by beating Charlton Athletic 3-0. Take in it the Mancunians against Nottingham Forest on 24 and 31 January. An interim meeting with Reading awaits in the FA Cup. In the intermediate round of the Europa League, a double meeting with Barcelona awaits at the end of February.
