Fan zone in Hamburg closed immediately due to tornadoes

The fan zone near St. Pauli's Millentor Stadium in Hamburg was closed on Saturday as a precaution. The reason is a tornado that rages over the German host city. Parts of the stands did not hold and several security barriers flew through the air. The fan zone, which had just been opened, is therefore immediately inaccessible.

There were no injuries and damage was minor. Nevertheless, volunteers and fan zone employees are quite scared. The hope is that supporters will be welcome again soon, because the European Championship match between Poland and the Dutch national team is scheduled for Sunday in Hamburg.
