Vitesse will finish the current season in the Eredivisie in any case, the club announced on Tuesday evening. There were many speculations on the internet about a possible bankruptcy and immediate termination of the season, but that is not the case.

On Tuesday, a message went around on social media that Vitesse would almost certainly be bankrupt. There was also speculation that the staff would be informed and the season could not be completed.

The Arnhem club does not have to withdraw from the Eredivisie, four rounds before the end. “By, among other things, bringing forward expected income from sponsorship fees and season tickets, we can complete the season.”
