Marko Vejinovic will not play for ADO Den Haag next season. The midfielder signed a contract for two and a half years with the club from the Hofstad last winter, but closes the door after six months. The midfielder is moving to the Chinese Tianjin Jinmen Tiger FC, ADO announced on Wednesday. Vejinovic makes use of a clause in his contract.

Vejinovic signed a contract with ADO this winter with confidence, but included that he could leave in the event of a relegation. Now that ADO will play in the Kitchen Champion Division next season, Vejinovic has decided to look elsewhere. Tianjin Jinmen Tiger FC has taken over the midfielder with immediate effect. The Chinese club is currently fourteenth at the highest level in China.

For Vejinovic it is his second adventure outside the national borders. He previously played for the Polish Arka Gdynia, which first rented him from AZ and then took him over permanently. In the Netherlands, Vejinovic continued to play for Heracles Almelo, Vitesse and Feyenoord. Since coming to ADO, Vejinovic has made seventeen appearances in the Eredivisie, fourteen times as a basic player. He failed to score in that.
