Rafael van der Vaart sees Bayern Munich as the biggest contender for the final victory of the Champions League. Julian Nagelsmann’s team took the first step towards the quarterfinals last Tuesday by winning 0-1 against Paris Saint-Germain. In the Parc des Princes, former PSG player Kinsley Coman was responsible for the only goal. The return will follow in the Alianz Arena on March 8.

According to the bookmakers, Manchester City is the favorite for the final victory, but Van der Vaart believes that the record master has the greatest chance. “I really think that Bayern Munich is by far the favourite,” says the analyst Ziggo Sport. “They are so strong, they play football so easily and they actually just check the match when they visit PSG.”

Presenter Wytse van der Goot warns the former midfielder about the return in Munich, but Van der Vaart saw only one player at PSG who could still cause danger. “It only got tense at the end, when Kylian Mbappé came in, but I don’t see it going wrong for Bayern anymore.”

The 109-time Oranje-international states that Napoli is no more than an outsider, despite the great performances both nationally and internationally of I Partenopei. “Napoli has a great team, but less experience.” Luciano Spalleti’s team has a fifteen-point lead in Serie A and won 0-2 against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League on Tuesday.
