According to The Telegraph it concerned four skybox visitors, who made a particularly drunk impression and were on their way to a taxi in the parking lot of the Johan Cruijff ArenA. They ran into Van der Sar and his family there and harassed him there. Reportedly, Ajax’s general manager was snapped at quickly bringing back Marc Overmars to act as a technical man. Overmars left in February 2022 because of transgressive behavior. Eventually, security guards were on site and showed the foursome the door.
The morning newspaper writes that the incident fits the ‘frustration’ that is currently prevailing in the Johan Cruijff ArenA. Steven Berghuis clearly expressed that feeling after the Classic.
