Supporters of AC Milan and Venezia attacked each other with fireworks prior to last Sunday’s league match. Images of this are now doing the rounds on the internet. It can be seen how fans of Milan, who traveled by ferry to the game, fire flares at a boat with supporters of Venezia. Smoke bombs and torches are also set off.
The city of Venice is built on 118 islands in the middle of the Venice lagoon, on the Adriatic Sea. This means that most away supporters travel by boat to the Stadio Pierluigi Penzo. The hard core of AC Milan also chose to travel by ferry to the game with Venezia, after which a confrontation with the hard core of the home team took place on the water. Flares, smoke bombs and flares were present on both boats, according to images circulating on the internet.

The boat with supporters of Venezia appears to be badly damaged, but according to Italian sounds, the dust clouds come from the black smoke bombs set off by the supporters. The fans reportedly failed to come to a scuffle. It was the AC Milan fans who had the last laugh, as their side went on to win a 0-3 victory. Theo Hernandez and Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the goals.
