Tottenham Hotspur booked an important victory in the Premier League on Sunday evening. The Londoners were 2-0 too strong for city rivals West Ham United, washing away the hangover of the midweek defeat in the Champions League at AC Milan (1-0). Emerson Royal and Son Heung-min opposed the Hammers responsible for the hits. Arnaut Danjuma remained on the bench for the entire match. Climb through victory the Spurs over Newcastle United and they are now fourth. West Ham is stuck in eighteenth place and is still in serious danger of relegation.

At Tottenham, Richarlison was in the starting line-up for the first time since the world championship in Qatar. It meant that Son started on the bench. Danjuma also received a reserve role from Cristian Stellini, who did the honors on behalf of the ailing Antonio Conte. West Ham could not provide good figures prior to the game against Spurs. There was only one win away from home this season. Nevertheless, the visitors had a great chance after forty seconds. Jarrod Bowen took a devastating blow from outside the box. His shot went just wide of Ben Forster’s goal.

On the other side, Thilo Kehrer made ten minutes in his own sixteen hands. Referee Michael Oliver and the VAR, however, did not see a penalty. In the London derby it went hard at times and the game also wavered up and down. However, both teams were quite careless in possession. Dejan Kulusevksi, Richarlison and Harry Kane showed themselves, chances were hardly created. Pierre-Emile Højbjerg got the ball between the posts for the first time after more than half an hour of play. His hard and low slider, however, was easily saved by Lukasz Fabianski. In stoppage time of the first half, Richarlison was launched by Kane. However, the Brazilian did not get the ball past Fabianski. A good header from Cristian Romero also failed to reach the goal.

After the break, Tottenham increased the pace and that promptly led to two great opportunities. Kulusevski first laid off neatly to Richarlison, but the latter pushed the ball too slowly towards Fabianski. Then Kane blasted a ball in front and a cross from Kulusevski just missed the Englishman. Emerson Royal did manage to find the net. Højbjerg gave a nice through ball to Ben Davies, who in turn tapped to the Brazilian. His slider was too powerful for Fabianski: 1-0. West Ham reacted immediately and after a good tick from Mikhail Antonio, Bowen fired. Forster made an adequate save. Twenty minutes before the end, Son closed the game. Kan served the South Korean, who hit goal with the inside right: 2-0. In the final phase, Tottenham played the game businesslike.
