Davinson Sánchez has fallen victim to racism on Instagram. The Tottenham Hotspur defender has shared a screenshot of a racist reaction below a photo he posted on social media. “Nothing will change,” he writes on Instagram Stories. Tottenham reacts disapprovingly on social media and calls on Instagram to take action.

The Colombian mandekker posted a photo of his partner and child earlier this week. “Quality time”, wrote the ex-Ajax player. Below the photo, several accounts have responded with emojis of monkeys. Sánchez took a screenshot of one of these responses and shared it on his story. “We are disgusted by the racist reports Davinson Sánchez has received and are calling on the online platforms to take action,” Tottenham wrote on Twitter. “We stand behind you Davinson, and also everyone else who is victims of this.”

Sánchez is not the first player in the Premier League to denounce online racism this weekend. The West Bromwich Albion attacker received similar responses to Sánchez and shared it on social media.
