Tottenham Hotspur has booked a minimal victory in the Premier League on Thursday evening. The team of manager José Mourinho was visiting low flyer Fulham with 0-1 too strong due to a goal by Dele Alli. Steven Bergwijn was missing from the match selection. Everton won with the same numbers on a visit to West Bromwich Albion and took a giant step towards the Champions League tickets. The team of manager Carlo Ancelotti is now fourth with 46 points from 26 games.

Fulham 0-1 Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham, which failed to turn the four previous midweek games into a win this season, ramped up the pace from the first whistle. After fifteen minutes of play, this seemed to lead to the opening goal, when Heung-Min Son nicely served Harry Kane from the left side of the field with the outside of the shoe. The Tottenham captain was able to head in from close range, but failed to send his header to the corner. Two minutes later it was hit. Once again Son took care of the prep work, after which Alli let the ball slide over the side of his right foot. In the end, Oluwatosin Adarabioyo was credited with the goal, after being the last to touch the ball on his own goal line. An alleged foul by Joachim Andersen on Kane was not promoted to a penalty ten minutes before the end of the first half.

Fulham, which only managed to win one of the last fourteen Premier League games with Tottenham Hotspur, came out better in the second half. The team of trainer Scott Parker even seemed to be on the same level, when Davinson Sánchez did not get the ball out of his own penalty area after an hour of play and had to watch Josh Maja then hit with a left in the short corner. Referee David Coote, however, noted a handball from Mario Lemina and rejected the goal on the advice of the VAR. A header from Andersen also did not produce a hit. Kane seemed to end the game five minutes before the end, when he got the point of his shoe against a through ball from Son, but goalkeeper Alphonse Aréola was in the way. It also turned out to be the last achievement of both teams.

West Bromwich Albion 0-1 Everton
Everton is in an excellent series in away games, remaining unbeaten in the last eight games, winning six times and drawing twice. Ancelotti’s team continued that good form against West Bromwich Albion. However, it took until ten minutes before half-time for the visitors to become dangerous for the first time. Richarlison was served in a promising position and created room for a shot, but saw his attempt go just over the bar. Also a shot by Dominic Calvert-Lewin face to face with goalkeeper Sam Johnstone did not produce a hit. In the end, Richarlison would break the spell, when the Brazilian was faster than the outgoing Johnstone more than twenty minutes before the end and hit home: 0-1. The home team tried to force an equalizer in the remainder, but was unable to surprise Everton.
