THOMAS Tuchel, manager of Paris Saint-Germain, expressed great praise to his “incredible” players after the French team advanced to its first Champions League final.

This follows after Tuchel’s champion team comfortably chased off the wolf pack RB Leibzig 3-0 during Tuesday’s semi-final at Lisbon’s Estadio da Luz.

Two goals in the first half by Marquinhos and Angel Di Maria put PSG on the winning path. Juan Bernat Velasco struck the death nail into Leipzig’s coffin just before the hour mark to secure an impressive victory.

Tuchel has already won the Ligue 1 title with PSG and is now on the verge of winning their first Champions League trophy.

“Incredible,” Tuchel said.

“That’s why we’re here in the final and rest assured we want to win it too. We have shown our quality, hunger and determination. It’s a good mix that is proof that we deserve to win.

“The team once again showed their hunger to play as a unit and to suffer as a team. They made the most of it. I started to feel the pressure before the game and it was not easy,” explained the German further.

“But I have players who are looking forward to the pressure in big games. I’m never too comfortable. ”

Tuchel and his troops are waiting with great excitement to see who they will tackle in the final on Sunday – either the boiling water Bayern Munich or their fellow French Lyon who are also making headlines in this prestigious club competition.

“We are aware that Bayern are the big favourites and it will definitely be a difficult challenge if we have to tackle them. But Lyon will be just as difficult to beat, but we will see. That is of course the biggest challenge for me. career, ”Tuchel concluded.
