Noa Lang seemed to start this season as Ajax player, but a few days before the close of the transfer market, it became clear that the 21-year-old attacker would continue his career at Club Brugge. Lang’s move to the Belgian top club was finally completed on Monday evening and the talent is looking forward to taking the next step in his career in Bruges.

“I chose Club Brugge purely because I think this is the best step for my development,” he says on Wednesday in an interview with the club channel of his new employer. “I think this is the best time for me to leave Ajax and just think about myself. I just want to make sure I get to the top and I see Club Brugge as the perfect step for that. ”

Long has joined a club that has won the national title three times in the past five seasons and the youngster expects to end up well in the Jan Breydel Stadium: “I know that Club Brugge is simply the best club in Belgium at the moment, that they become champions annually, compete for the prizes and play the Champions League. Wanting to be the best, wanting to win every game, wanting to be dominant: that suits me, that’s how I am. And I also come from that culture at Ajax. I made the right choice. ”

Lange will play with number 10 at Club Brugge and he can make his official debut against Standard Liège on 17 October. Three days later, the first Champions League match against Zenit Saint Petersburg is already on the program and the Belgians are also in a group with Borussia Dortmund and Lazio: “I think it’s a nice group, I think there are opportunities. I think everyone can beat each other. A very nice challenge to try to winter in the Champions League, I think that is the goal ”, Lang is already looking ahead to the adventure in the billion dollar ball.
