The Netherlands has managed to hibernate with all four remaining European participants. Ajax and PSV continue in the play-off round of the Europa League, Feyenoord is already in the last sixteen of that tournament as group winner. AZ won its group in the Conference League and can therefore report to the eighth finals of the third European tournament.

The play-off rounds of the Europa League and Conference League, also known as the intermediate round, will be played on 16 and 23 February 2023. In the Europa League, a number two from that tournament plays against a number three in the Champions League, while in the Conference League a number two plays against a number three who flows from the Europa League. Ajax and PSV therefore have to work at the end of February, while Feyenoord and AZ skip that round and only return to European action in March.
