It seems that a new top talent from Ukraine will soon be able to be admired in England. According to The Evening Standard Georgiy Sudakov is in the interest of five English top teams. His employer Shakhtar Donetsk expects a departure in the summer and reportedly wants an amount of around seventy million euros.
According to reports, Arsenal has the most concrete interest in Sudakov. He is also linked to Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool.
The 21-year-old midfielder has been impressing for quite some time in the Ukrainian Premjer Liha. Shakhtar CEO Sergei Palkin does not expect a longer stay to be realistic.
Georgiy Sudakov has been making waves in the shirt of Shakhtar Donetsk for some time now.
“There is a good chance that Sudakov will move to a big club next summer,” said Palkin. “We have already been in contact with some big clubs and negotiations are already underway.”
Last January, Napoli was in the market for top talent. The reigning national champions of Italy were prepared to put an amount of around forty million euros on the table, but at the time Shakhtar was already convinced that the player was worth more.
Next summer, Sudakov will still be faced with a transfer to the European top. The fourteen-time international of Ukraine represents according to Transfer market worth 25 million euros and still has a contract until the end of 2028.
Should Sudakov actually make a transfer to the Premier League, he will follow in the footsteps of Mykhaylo Mudryk. The now 23-year-old winger transferred from Shakhtar to Chelsea in the winter of 2023 for seventy million euros.
