Teun Koopmeiners once again proved his value to Atalanta on Sunday evening. The midfielder brilliantly shot home a free kick on a visit to Genoa, helping his team to a 1-3 victory. Earlier in the day, Sam Beukema scored his very first Serie A goal for Bologna. Debutant Jens Odgaard, who is hired from AZ, also scored.

Genoa – Atalanta 1-4

Charles De Ketelaere's opening goal was worth it. The Belgian attacker took a shot on the edge of the penalty area with his right and fired in beautifully with his left from the bounce: 0-1.

Shortly after the break, Genoa hit back through Ruslan Malinovsky, who played for Atalanta for four seasons. The Ukrainian showed off his excellent kicking technique after a one-two with Milan Badelj. Malinovsky fired in beautifully with his left foot: 1-1.

Four minutes later another beautiful goal was scored, this time on the other side of the field. Koopmeiners gave his free kick from about eighteen meters so much speed that goalkeeper Josep MartÃnez's reflex came too late: 1-2.

In the tenth and thirteenth minutes of injury time it became 1-3 and 1-4 via Davide Zappacosta and debutant El Bilal Touré respectively.

Bologna – Lecce 4-0

Earlier in the day, the surprisingly performing Bologna had no children with Lecce. Beukema was already in the right place in the penalty area in the fifth minute to tap in the rebound: 1-0. After half an hour of play, Riccardo Orsolini also scored from a rebound: 2-0. Bologna's right winger scored again in the 49th minute: 3-0.

After an hour of play, Odgaard was allowed to make his first appearance. The striker, who came on for Joshua Zirkzee, captured possession on the halfway line and was able to continue towards Lecce's goal. The former AZ player finished the match face to face with goalkeeper Wladimiro Falcone very convincingly: 4-0.
