Leeds United booked a hard-fought victory in the Premier League on Saturday. At Elland Road, coach Jesse Marsch’s team was still 1-3 behind Bournemouth after 48 minutes, but eventually completed the Whites in the 84th minute the comeback: 4-3. The big hero was Crysencio Summerville, who scored the winning goal, just like in the game against Liverpool.
Leeds, where Pascal Struijk was also in the starting line-up, fired energetically from the starting blocks. Marcos Senesi fouled within the penalty area, after which referee Tony Harrington awarded a penalty. Rodrigo went behind the ball and made no mistake from eleven meters: 1-0. Three minutes later Bournemouth equalized thanks to Marcus Tavernier, who then also provided the assist for the 1-2. Philip Billing hit the top left corner. Almost immediately after the break, the visitors even made it 1-3. Once again there was a crucial role for Tavernier, who ensured that Dominic Solanke could finish with a nice through pass.

Leeds’ comeback started after exactly an hour of play. Just outside the box, Sam Greenwood got the ball in front of his feet and he made it 2-3 with a shot into the top corner. The equalizing goal came eight minutes later, when Greenwood served Liam Cooper from the corner flag. The latter nodded from close range the 3-3 on the scoreboard. The sensation was complete six minutes before the end of regular time. Wilfried Gnonto had a phenomenal sprint and gave an excellent pass to Summerville, who finished in a cool way: 4-3. Leeds held onto the lead until the final whistle.
