Steven Bergwijn does not belong to the first eleven of the Londoners in the season delivery of Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League. The Dutch striker was placed on the reserve bench by manager José Mourinho for Sunday’s home game against Everton (from 17:30). Summer businesses James Rodríguez, Allan and Abdoulaye Doucouré all start in the base at Everton.

For Bergwijn, his reserve turn is a disappointment as he was in excellent condition. The former PSV player scored the only goal in the exhibition match against Birmingham City two weeks ago and was then also successful in the international period by scoring in the Nations League match between Orange and Poland (1-0 victory). However, Mourinho keeps Bergwijn on the bench against Everton, in favor of Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son.

The first eleven at Tottenham have two debutants: Matt Doherty, who came from Wolverhampton Wanderers, starts as a fullback, while Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg, who comes from Southampton, is trusted by Mourinho in midfield. There are more new faces at Everton: manager Carlo Ancelotti picks three debutants alongside James, Allan and Doucouré.

Tottenham Hotspur lineup: Lloris; Doherty, Alderweireld, Dier, Davies; Hojbjerg, Winks; Dele, Lucas, Son; Kane.

Everton lineup: Pickford; Coleman, Mina, Keane, Digne; Allan, André Gomes, Doucouré, James; Richarlison, Calvert-Lewin.
