Calvin Stengs has a clear explanation for his collision with Souffian El Karouani. After the Eredivisie match between Feyenoord and FC Utrecht (4-2), the cameras were focused on Stengs, who was in a discussion with the defender of the Domstedelingen. Reporter Hans Kraay junior also noticed it, and he asked the Feyenoord player in front of the camera ESPN to the reason for the disturbance.

Feyenoord overcame a double deficit on Sunday afternoon. The Rotterdam team faced a surprising 0-2 deficit at home against FC Utrecht after half an hour, but managed to put things in order: 4-2. Feyenoord took full advantage of PSV's defeat at NEC (3-1).

“You had a few clashes with El Karouani. Was he annoying to you, or was he annoying to you?” Kraay junior asks Stengs after the match.

The attacking midfielder of the Rotterdam team says that he previously complained to the referee about a yellow card. According to Stengs, El Karouani deserved it, but the FC Utrecht defender was not pleased with Stengs' demand.

“I didn't even speak to El Karouani, but to the referee. Then he said, “What are you doing, baby?” Then I said: 'Do you remember that match at NEC, when I missed you?' Then I think he got a little angry.”

“But anyway, it doesn't matter. I'm playing football again and that's the most important thing. I'm happy that I can help the team.” Stengs apparently suffered a serious injury in the match against Almere City, but he was eventually able to make his return five weeks later against FC Utrecht.

“I underwent several tests and the results were good. I suffered a bone bruise, but it could have turned out differently,” said the grateful Stengs.
