Josip Sutalo and Chuba Akpom will be missing from Ajax next Thursday during the game against Ludogorets in the play-offs of the Europa League. The two purchases, which came from Dinamo Zagreb and Middlesbrough respectively, are not yet eligible to play.
Akpom is still waiting for his work permit, it reports Football International, while Sutalo is also not yet registered with UEFA. The transfer of the central defender was officially completed on Monday evening. Anton Gaaei, who came over from Viborg FF for 4.5 million euros last week, can make his debut in the shirt of the team from Amsterdam. The same logically applies to the purchases that have been with Ajax for a long time.
Maurice Steijn’s team will take on Ludogorets on Thursday evening and must book a good result to take a favorable starting position to Amsterdam. The return in the Johan Cruijff ArenA is scheduled for next Thursday. If Ajax survives the diptych with Ludogorets, the number three of the past Eredivisie season will immediately qualify for the group stage of the Europa League.
