For the time being, the Spanish Football Federation does not authorise the transfer of Memphis Depay from Olympique Lyon to Barcelona, says The Telegraph. According to the newspaper, the Catalans have not yet met all the conditions laid down by the Spanish authorities for the granting of a financial aid package so as not to get into deeper trouble during the corona crisis. The Spanish union is now applying the brakes: Depay is not yet allowed to be attracted and is therefore not expected to be presented this week.

The morning paper reported last night that Barcelona and Olympique Lyon have agreed on a transfer fee of thirty million euros, an amount that could add two million euros via bonuses. For Depay a contract until mid 2024 is ready and the medical examination and presentation would follow shortly. The Spanish union is holding back the transfer for the time being: Barcelona will have to sell players first.

More soon.
