Arne Slot opts for two new names in Feyenoord’s home match against FC Midtjylland, according to the line-up of the Rotterdam club. The coach, beloved in De Kuip, opts for Marcos López and Alireza Jahanbakhsh in the Europa League, while Jacob Rasmussen and Javairô Dilrosun are referred to the bench. That means that Santiago Giménez, who didn’t have his sights sharp against FC Twente on Sunday, also retains confidence.

Feyenoord starts below the bar as usual with Justin Bijlow. Pedersen starts at right back position. Gernot Trauner and Dávid Hancko form the central duo, while Marcos López serves as the left back. Háncko was still there on Sunday, because López was given a rest by Slot. Geertruida, originally right back, starts at number 6, just like last Sunday.

The midfield is completed by captain Orkun Kökçü and Quinten Timber. Sebastian Szymanski is also on the starting sheet, but will probably start from the right wing position. Also in recent weeks, Szymanski was often used from the flanks, so that Javairô Dilrosun could play on 10. The latter has now lost its place to Jahanbakhsh.

Feyenoord is currently at the top of Group F of the Europa League with four points, based on goal difference. Lazio and Sturm Graz will also face each other in Stadio Olimpico on Thursday. The match, which will be played in a sold-out Kuip, starts on Thursday evening at 6.45 pm and can be seen on Veronica and ESPN 2.
