Ajax and PSV are among the sixteen clubs that will be present on Wednesday evening at the semi-final of the Conference League between Club Brugge and Fiorentina. That writes The newspapaer Tuesday afternoon. Representatives of AC Milan and FC Barcelona will also be present in the Jan Breydel Stadium.
The yet unknown representatives of Ajax and PSV will watch an exciting match in Bruges, as the first leg in Florence ended in a 3-2 win for the Italians. “Scouts from a number of European (top) clubs will follow the match with more than normal interest,” writes journalist Junior Verbeeke.
It is still unknown for which player(s) Ajax and PSV will travel to Belgium. It is clear that scouts from FC Barcelona, AC Milan, West Ham United and Cercle Brugge will also take a seat in the stands.
Reigning national champion PSV seems to be focusing mainly on the arrival of a central defender, extra controller and wingers next summer. Depending on the outgoing transfers, the people of Eindhoven may spend even more on the transfer market.
Ajax will also be looking for a right winger, although the selection of the Amsterdam team will probably be overhauled, meaning that several reinforcements will be needed.
