Roger Schmidt has announced PSV’s line-up for the away match against SC Cambuur. The German coach changes his team in two positions compared to the won cup final against Ajax. Both Bruma and Ritus Doan have a basic place. Cody Gakpo and Ibrahim Sangaré are sitting on the couch. PSV must win to stay in the footsteps of Ajax, as the team from Amsterdam narrowly won a visit to NEC (0-1) earlier in the evening. The deficit is now seven points. The duel in Leeuwarden will start at 9 p.m. and is led by referee Dennis Higler.

Schmidt had to deal with personnel problems again this week when it was announced that Armando Obispo will no longer be in action this season. The mandekker is the second center defender after Olivier Boscagli who has been eliminated for the remainder of the season. Gakpo is present, he starts on the bench. The rear is formed by Mauro Júnior, Jordan Teze, Ramalho and Philipp Max. No Ibrahim Sangaré in midfield, he also starts from the bench. Doan and Bruma are at the forefront with Eran Zahavi meaning Joey Veerman is in his familiar position in midfield.

Schmidt does not expect that the euphoria of the won cup final will affect the duel in Leeuwarden. “I don’t believe in a boost through the cup final,” said the German during the press talk in the run-up to the duel with Cambuur. “You don’t win games because you won something the week before. In the final week there are still nine points to grab, everything can still happen in that. But we are not working on that yet. We are now only looking at this game, because we can’t win those five games at the same time.”

SC Cambuur setup: Bunch; Schmidt, Mac-Intosh, Schouten, Sylla; Hoedemakers, Jacobs, Maulun; Joosten, Uldrikis, Kallon

PSV lineup: Mvogo; Mauro, Teze, Ramalho, Max; Veerman, Gutierrez, Gotze; Doan, Zahavi, Brumac
