Ralf Rangnick has to make Schalke 04 a German top club again. BILD know to report on Friday that the trainer cum football driver in Gelsenkirchen will become the new sports director. Rangnick has already reached an outline agreement on long-term employment in his first talks with Schalke 04, the German newspaper asserts.

In this way, Rangnick wants to regain part of Schalke’s runaway supporters and make the club attractive to sponsors again.
