Bologna is very interested in the services of Sam Beukema, reports Gianluca Di Marzio. According to the transfer market expert, the agent of the 24-year-old center back is already in Italy and will attend the Serie A game with Atalanta on Monday evening. Beukema still has a contract with AZ until mid-2026.
Because Beukema is still under contract with the Alkmaarders for a long time, it will not be easy for Bologna to loosen the defender at AZ, writes Di Marzio. Beukema is an undisputed basic player this season under trainer Pascal Jansen. He didn’t even miss a minute in the Eredivisie. AZ is therefore not keen to sell the mandekker during the winter transfer window.
AZ took over Beukema from Go Ahead Eagles in the summer of 2021 for approximately 900,000 thousand euros. The counter now stands at 64 official duels, in which he was good for four goals and an assist. According to Transfermarkt.com is the defender currently worth three million euros. If Beukema leaves for Bologna this winter, he will meet two Dutchmen with Denzo Kasius and Jerdy Schouten.
Journalist Marco Conterio wrote last week that Atalanta would also be in the market for Beukema, but that interest is not yet very concrete.
