Bayern Munich has announced the line-up for the top match against Eintracht Frankfurt. Ryan Gravenberch and Daley Blind do not get a place in the starting eleven, while Matthijs de Ligt does appear in the starting line-up. The game in the Allianz Arena starts at 6.30 pm and is led by Sven Jablonski.

Bayern suffered a loss of points in the first two league games of 2023. Last week, coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team drew 1-1 at RB Leipzig, the current number two in the German league. In the midweek round this week seemed the record master even losing at home to 1. FC Köln, but in the ninetieth minute Joshua Kimmich saved another point: 1-1. Bayern is still at the top of the Bundesliga, but number two Leipzig is within one point.

The club from Munich will want to increase the gap with Leipzig on Saturday evening against Frankfurt, which is fourth. Bayern will try that with an unchanged defense compared to the duel with Köln. That means that acquisition Yann Sommer is again under the bar, with four defenders in front: Josip Stanisic, Dayot Upamecano, De Ligt and Alphonso Davies. Noussair Mazraoui is still not available, while Blind starts on the bench again.

In midfield, Nagelsmann makes his only change: Goretzka is missing with a thigh injury, leaving Jamal Musiala to push back a line and form the controlling block with Joshua Kimmich. Before that are Leroy Sané, Thomas Müller and Kingsley Coman, while the striker position is again filled by Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting. The match between Bayern and Frankfurt will be shown via via play.

Lineup Bayern Munich: Summer; Stanisic, Upamecano, de Ligt, Davies – Kimmich, Musiala – Sané, Müller, Coman – Choupo-Moting
