Latest update:

Juventus hopes to strengthen itself with the sixteen-year-old Dutchman Ruud Nijstad, Fabrizio Romano reported on Monday evening. The talent is currently active in the youth of FC Twente and Heracles Almelo, but was in Turin this week to visit the facilities of Juve to behold. The Italian superpower would like to take over Nijstad, so the choice is now up to the player.

“The Dutch talent Ruud Nijstad visited the training facilities of Juventus today,” Romano writes on X. “Tomorrow (Tuesday, ed.) He will return to Twente.”

“Juventus would like to sign Nijstad, in order to set up a similar deal as previously happened with Dean Huijsen,” said the Italian transfer market expert.

Huijsen signed with Juventus in 2021 at the age of sixteen. La Vecchia Signora took over the central defender from the youth of Málaga CF. Huijsen is currently rented out by Juventus to AS Roma.

Nijstad, like his potential teammate, is a centre-back. The left foot is seen as a great talent in the FC Twente/Heracles Academy.

Nijstad is also a youth international for the Dutch national team. The Almelo-born man has so far played five times on behalf of the Dutch Under 16 team.

Nijstad was previously linked with a move to AC Milan. According to Italian journalist Pasquale Guarro, the Milanese were keen to recruit the man, but Nijstad has not left for the time being.
