Latest update:

Roda JC made a crucial mistake on Friday evening in the battle for direct promotion to the Eredivisie. The Kerkraders were stuck at a 1-1 draw at Sportpark De Toekomst. Elsewhere in the Kitchen Champion Division, SC Cambuur and FC Dordrecht kept each other in balance in an exciting match, De Graafschap proved far too strong for MVV Maastricht and FC Den Bosch took victory at VVV-Venlo in the final phase.

Young Ajax – Roda JC Kerkrade 1-1

Jong Ajax could not have wished for a much more dramatic start. Goalkeeper Charlie Setford had the ball stolen in the ninth minute by Vaclav Sejk, who easily scored the 0-1 for Roda JC. However, the visitors from South Limburg could not enjoy the lead for long, as Jong Ajax leveled the score four minutes later through Silvano Vos. The talented midfielder passed two men and fired the ball wonderfully into the top corner: 1-1.

De Graafschap- MVV Maastricht 3-0

De Graafschap came out on top in the opening phase, without the Doetinchem team creating any concrete opportunities. Ten minutes before half-time, the home team opened the score. A beautiful header from Jeffry Fortes wiped the score off the scoreboard: 1-0. With about 25 minutes left to play, Anis Yadir doubled the score, after which Tristan van Gilst chipped in: 3-0.

SC Cambuur – FC Dordrecht 3-3

While FC Dordrecht often had the ball in the opening phase, it was Cambuur that broke the spell at home. Roberts Uldrikis – after a failed attempt by Michael Breij – took full advantage of a mistake by Luca Plogmann. Ilias Sebaoui quickly leveled the score after beating Yanick van Osch in the short corner, but Uldrikis quickly regained the lead for the Leeuwarders with his second goal: 2-1. The tall Latvian was the final station of a beautiful attack.

Shortly after halftime, Milan Smit extended the lead. After good work from Uldrikis and an assist from the debuting Bram Marsman, Smit was ready in the box to score his nineteenth competition goal: 3-1. Dordrecht quickly responded with a counter goal through Shiloh 't Zand and Adrian Segecic set the final score at 3-3 ten minutes before the end.

VVV-Venlo – FC Den Bosch 2-3

During injury time in the first half, the traveling away fans were able to cheer for the first time. Jaron Vicario took advantage of a big mistake at the back for the Venlo team: 0-1. After the break, the Limburgers brought the match back into balance. Levi Smans was the celebrated man.

The celebration was short-lived as Salah-Eddine Oulad M'Hand restored the lead two minutes later. Michalis Kosidis thought he could save a point for the home team fifteen minutes before the end, but Kacper Kostorz gave the people of Den Bosch the victory just before the end: 2-3.

TOP Oss – Jong AZ 1-1

Jong AZ took the lead early in Oss. After fourteen minutes, Kees Smit scored the visitors 0-1. Rome-Jayden Owusu-Oduro then made a good intervention on a bet from Karim Loukili, after which Jayden Addai missed the opportunity to take the lead. In the second act, both teams hit the woodwork, but there seemed to be no goal until TOP Oss, in absolute extremis, via Delano Ladan, leveled the score: 1-1.
