National coach Walid Regragui has announced Morocco’s line-up for the match against Canada. Goalkeeper Bono returns to the base. Noussair Mazraoui, Sofyan Amrabat and Hakim Ziyech are logically also at the kick-off. Zakaria Aboukhlal, the maker of the 2-0 against Belgium, is sitting on the bench. Selim Amallah also has to make do with a role as a substitute.

Bono returns under the crossbar after not being fully fit ahead of the game against Belgium. The goalkeeper of Sevilla still sang the national anthem, but was then replaced by Munir. Bono sees Achraf Hakimi, Nayef Aguerd, Romain Saïss and Mazraoui in front of him. In midfield, Amrabat is joined by Azzedine Ounahi and Abdelhamid Sabiri. Amallah, usually a fixed value for Morocco, therefore starts on the couch. The Standard Liège midfielder was still at the kick-off in the first two group matches.

Amrabat impresses in the group stage of the World Cup and, according to transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano, may prepare for a dream transfer after the World Cup. Amrabat was close to a switch to Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur last season, but that was canceled at the last minute. The midfielder still has a contract with Fiorentina until mid-2024. Morocco’s attack consists of Ziyech, Youssef En-Nesyri and Sofiane Boufal.

Lineup Morocco: Bono; Hakimi, Aguerd, Saiss, Mazraoui; Ounahi, Amrabat, Sabiri; Ziyech, En-Nesyri, Boufal

Canada lineup: Borjan; Johnston, Vitoria, Miller; Adekugbe, Osorio, Kaye, Davies; Buchanan, Larin, Hoillett
