Spanish club Real Sociedad have stolen former Manchester City game creator David Silva in front of Lazio’s noses.

Silva recently greeted the Etihad Stadium after ten seasons. As Cityzen, he has won 11 titles, including four Premier League titles.

He signed a two-year contract with Real Sociedad after his contract with Manchester City expired.

According to Sky, Lazio were in the inner circle in Italy to get the 34-year-old’s services, but Silva chose to join Sociedad – who finished sixth in La Liga last season.

He returns to the Spanish league after a decade after leaving Valencia for Manchester City.

His last game for City was in the quarter-finals of the Champions League where they were stuck with 3-1 against Lyon.

City announced on Monday that Silva will be honored with a statue outside the Etihad Stadium in recognition of his service.
